Christmas Surprise

My parents came and shared Christmas Morning with us but before we started gifts, Braydon has a SURPRISE for them...Hope you ENJOY!!!!!!

Braydon Update

Braydon is doing so much better. I am so thankful for all the prayers that went out for him. This AM he wasn't coughing and we have been still doing the breathing treatments. He is running around like a crazy kid again!!!! I am so happy! He had us worried!!! Thanks again for all the prayers!!!!!

Two Days of Disaster! (no I am not a master speller)

So the last two days have been a nightmare. I guess actually I should say the last three days.

It started out this week with Braydon getting a cough. It wasn't too bad so I didn't think anything of it and just gave him a breathing treatment. Nothing got better, it actually got worse. Friday we ended up at the doctor with the doc saying that Braydon just has bad asthma and to give him breathing treatments and oripred to loosen it. By Saturday morning the poor kid couldn't talk with out coughing. He didn't get to go to any of the festivities downtown b/c of the asthma. By the time I finally got back to my parents around 9 he was HORRIBLE. My dad and Ryan gave him a blessing to get better. I love the power of the priesthood. Though he had a blessing Ryan and I still felt it best to go to the ER. *oh and all this is after paging the nurse on call and telling her about Braydon and her telling me that he was just getting better and the the stuff was getting broken up, that was why he was coughing so much more* We got to the ER around 9:30 and were out by 1:30 with a trip to Walgreens ending around 3:30. We found out that he has bronchidus (not sure how to spell that!!) The doc we went and saw said that he didn't have it and that he was ok just having some asthma attacks. I think not you CRAZY doctor. Needless to say we will be switching doctors once again!!! :-)

Then this morning I had to go up to work to get the money settled since by boss went to a KISS concert last night with her husband. I was telling the opener about the new coupons that came out today when I happened to look over at our cake display cabinet ( YES MY BABY ) and it was off and ALL the cakes were melted. I wanted to cry. I held it together and had to ruin my boss' weekend by telling her what happened. Needless to say she was TICKED!!!! It was the breaker though and at least this time no one was stupid and leaving the doors open. It was crazy so here I go off to work to go make cakes!!!! Wish me Luck....and PRAY FOR MY LITTLE GUY!!!!

I wish

If there was one thing that I could change about my life it would be the art and talent of dance. If there is anything that can "speak" to me it is dance. Many people its music and for some its book, but for me it is dance. Tonight I was watching So You Think You Can Dance and WOW.....how powerful are some of those dancers. Some of them brought me to tears. I wish that I had stuck with dancing when I was younger. I might not have been the best but I LOVED it.

I am so happy that I have 5 nieces that take dance. Though 3 are just beginning you can see the love they have for it when the music starts. I have 2 that are beautiful dancers. Kaylin has the most graceful ( I know Kaylin right!!!! ) arms I have ever seen out of anyone. She is so beautiful when ballet or lyrical comes into the picture. Maren ( No not me..my little name sake!!!) is phenomenal.... need I say more. That girl can move. She has skills I can only dream of having. She is so talented.

So tonight I give a round of applause for my nieces that are dancers. You guys are some of my biggest heroes...I Love You

Braydon's First and Last Goals of the Fall Soccer Season

At the last game of the season Braydon finally was able to get a break away and score. We were so excited as you can tell by my screaming...how I sung in the Choir today is beyond me! I was one proud Momma!!

This is one of our teams first soccer practices. That is Jenna, she is one of two girls on the team. Our last game is Saturday and yes I will be sad b/c Braydon is finally into it now that the season is over.

Randomly stop whatever movie he is watching just so he can tell you he loves you.

Listen to things he wants to hear: Grandma mentioning swimming or someone mentioning something that he likes!!!

He is so funny and keeps me laughing!!!!We love him so much and are slow blessed to have him as our child!!!

Everything I learned about being a mom, I learned from the best..my mom

In Relief Society today I got the privelege of sitting next to 3 wonderful people. All of which have really been an inspiration to me in some way or another.

One through pure kindness as a friend. Texting me to make sure I was ok because she didn't see me at church and just chatting with me through text messages.

The other, well she is this persons mom and they just so lively and fun to be around. I know that my friend learned what she knows from watching her mother and also her sisters as they have raised children.

The other was my mom. She is such a great lady. Our lesson was on charity and I know that if anyone is a great example of charity it is my mom. She is always so willing to drop what she is doing to help us with what we need. She loves each of her children. She has taught me so many things through the years. My mom always made sure we had what we needed, clothes, shoes, food, you name it. My mom shows me each day how to love again. I know that sounds funny but she does. I can't explain it so that you can understand what I mean but she does just that! My mom is me hero! Without her I would be lost. She helps me keep my head on straight when it looks a little tilted!

My mom is the BEST house keeper that I know. Though I didn't get the trait from her I am trying everyday to be more like her in this area. She always has her house in tip top shape. She leaves for vacation with her house clean so that she can come home and her house is clean! I think that is the best idea ever!!! i think there are too many times that I go out of town and come home to a messy house that I didn't clean before I left!

My mom LOVES the gospel. If there is someone that has a stronger testimony of the gospel I would love to meet them. Mom is always faithful in going to her meetings and being prepared. She reads the lesson so she knows what she is going to be taught that day so she can answer questions. She is ver confident in her answers to. I am striving to be more like this. I don't answer questions. I don't raise my hand to make a comment. i wish I could. I have learned to listen to that still small voice b/c my mom was always such an example so listening to the spirit. You could always tell when mom had a prompting b/c she is so quick to act on it!

I love my mom very much and I am very blessed to have her in my life. I love you mom!

a new post

I have a new sister in law!!! and she is GREAT!! My brother got married today!!!! It was so awesome! It was great to see old friends reunite because of same challenges and new friends be made. Thanks to all those that helped make Marshall and Shannon's big day a great one

Out of the mouth of my kid

so last night at my mom's Braydon had already put his pull-up on just incase he fell asleep while we went and got daddy!!!!

He was sitting there picking at it on his back side. My mom said that it was twisted so I asked Braydon if he had a wedgie....he replied no.....

Grandma then again said its twisted you need to untwist it....Braydon then proceeded to say this

" It's not twisted....it stuck in my butt"

It was too funny and I couldn't help but laugh and neither could mom or dad!!!!!

T-Ball

Braydon started T-ball this weekend and what can I say its just unorganized caos but boy was it funny!!Braydon is the one on his right knee in front of Ryan!!!!

He is up to bat. The Coaches wife helped out since their other son was having opening ceremonies for his Baseball team!!!

Cafe Del Rio...Girl's Night Style

This past weekend we went out with just the girls!!! It was a blast and I can't wait to do it again!!! We had good conversation and I was able to meet a new friend, Emily!!!!! On the way out though the funniest thing happend....there was a guy that was totally drunk by the bar and was all " I'm comin' home you y'all!!! Are y'all Mormon!!!!!" WOW how did he know!!! We must have a mormon glow!!!!

Mario Kart Birthday Cake

Someone ordered a Mario Kart cake for a little boy and licky for me, I got to make it!!!! We couldn't figure out how to do Mario at first but then I remembered that I had learned to do color flow in cake class. I ran to Michaels and got the stuff to do it and this is how it came out. It's not the best but hey...I am still learning!!!!!
